The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) announced that its new humanitarian aid mission to Palestine will depart from the port of Barcelona on March 29.

The Global Sumud Flotilla (GSF) confirmed on Friday, February 6, that its second humanitarian aid mission to Gaza will launch from Barcelona on March 29. This action is planned as a unified mobilization combining a maritime flotilla and a humanitarian land caravan departing from various ports across the Mediterranean arc.

an act of unprecedented global civil resistance, mobilized in response to the catastrophic failure of governments and international institutions to stop the ongoing genocide

The organizers made the announcement during a press conference held at the Nelson Mandela Foundation in Johannesburg, South Africa, as reported by Europa Press. They emphasized that the mission is a non-violent and coordinated intervention aimed at delivering essential supplies to the Palestinian population.
The mobilization is expected to attract thousands of participants from “more than 100 countries,” including Spain, Italy, and Tunisia. The flotilla and caravan will include over 1,000 professionals from the health, education, and engineering sectors, equipped to support community survival and recovery.
In addition to humanitarian materials, the mission will include personnel dedicated to investigating potential war crimes and “ecocide,” as well as observers tasked with documenting violations of international law. The GSF asserts that this action is a rejection of reconstruction proposals for Gaza that do not include Palestinian sovereignty and accountability.
