The new municipal pools in Granollers were inaugurated on May 9th, becoming the third facility with the largest water surface in Catalonia after a comprehensive renovation.

The new municipal pools in Granollers opened their doors on May 9th, following an ambitious project of comprehensive renovation and expansion. The main objective was to modernize the facilities to improve their functionality, accessibility, safety, and energy efficiency.
Thanks to this initiative, pools 1 and 2, as well as the main building, have been expanded, providing more space for complementary activities. With this renovation, the sports complex is positioned as one of the facilities with the largest water surface area in Catalonia, ranking third.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Mayor of Granollers, Alba Barnusell, and the president of the Club Natació Granollers, Toni Gili. The event featured various sports exhibitions, including a 'pilar de 4' by the Xics de Granollers in the small pool and a demonstration by the Spanish Artistic Swimming Team in the large pool. Subsequently, the club's sections presented aquatic choreographies.
To celebrate the inauguration, the Granollers City Council and the Club Natació Granollers have organized a program of activities open to the public throughout May. These events aim to promote sports and introduce the new facilities to the community. Family days with inflatables and master aquagym classes have already taken place.
The schedule continues with proposals for different audiences, including base and master trophies, aquayoga sessions, aquacombat, and an artistic swimming exhibition match. The program will conclude on May 30th with a clinic on starts and turns, followed by a DJ pool party in the afternoon, solidifying the venue as a sports and social hub.
