High-speed train service between Barcelona-Sants and Camp de Tarragona was restored on Monday afternoon after being interrupted by a fire.

The fire, which started at 2:51 PM, broke out in an area near the tracks, between the municipalities of Sant Vicenç dels Horts and El Prat de Llobregat. The incident affected all companies operating on this stretch, including Renfe, Iryo, and Ouigo.
Two units from the Bomberos de la Generalitat (Catalan Firefighters) were quickly dispatched to the scene to extinguish the flames. Civil Protection activated the Ferrocat plan in a pre-alert situation as a precautionary measure.
The causes of the fire are still unknown and are under investigation. Normal train circulation was resumed by mid-afternoon, once the fire was controlled and safety conditions were guaranteed.
