The Horta-Guinardó district is preparing to celebrate Sant Jordi 2026 with an extensive agenda of activities, including book and rose stalls, shows, and literary proposals for all audiences.

The Sant Jordi celebration in Horta-Guinardó will extend beyond April 23, offering residents a local experience without the need to travel to other areas of Barcelona. Plaça d'Eivissa will be one of the main hubs, where florists and booksellers will set up their stalls, in addition to allowing establishments to display their goods on the street.
The cultural program is diverse and includes various stage performances. On April 15, the Biblioteca Guinardó – Mercè Rodoreda will host the show Sant Jordi, princeses i drac by Cia. Ensedrama Teatre. On April 18, the Sala Polivalent de Montbau will present a Sant Jordi show by Ànima Theatrum. For younger audiences, the Centre Cívic Casa Groga will offer the family show Contadors de llegendes: els éssers fantàstics by Cia. Jordi Font on April 24, with free admission upon reservation.
Music and poetry will also have their place. On April 25, the Casal de Barri Font d'en Fargues will be the setting for the poetic-musical recital Sant Jordi al Casal: Crepuscles i muntanyes: Isabel de Villamartín & Jacint Verdaguer, with a pay-what-you-can system. On April 26, the same community center will host the show Salvat-Papasseit torna al barri, featuring Tomàs de los Santos and Elsa Tronchoni.
In addition to the performances, various cultural activities have been organized throughout the week. On April 24, the Centre Cívic Casa Groga will host the XIV Children's and Youth Literary Contest Awards and the XI Pere de la Fuente Award. There will also be activities for young people at the Espai Jove Girapells and a creative writing workshop, Pesca un cuento, at the Sala Polivalent de Montbau. Finally, on April 25, the Biblioteca El Carmel – Juan Marsé proposes the literary and artistic route De Marsé a Mercè, requiring prior registration.
