The mobilization, promoted by the CGT union section, affects check-in, boarding, and flight coordination services. According to data from the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility, the strike could directly impact nearly two million travelers during the months of August and September.
The union justifies the protest due to working conditions, citing work overload, a lack of experienced personnel, and deficiencies in occupational risk prevention. The company, which provides services to numerous international airlines, has been the subject of similar calls in the past by other labor organizations.
“"It is the last tool we have; the company sees only numbers and we see only illnesses."
To ensure connectivity, the Ministry has established minimum services that vary depending on the route type. For non-peninsular connections or those under public service obligations, protection is set at 80% in August. For international flights and peninsular routes with long transport alternatives, minimum services will be 58%, while for other peninsular routes, 35% of operations are guaranteed.
