The Mossos d'Esquadra are investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday morning at a bar in the Torrassa neighborhood of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, where bullet casings were found.

Catalan police received a call around 6:30 AM from residents who reported hearing gunshots. Upon arriving at the scene, officers found no one, but did discover five spent shell casings inside the establishment.
As of now, no injuries have been reported, nor have any arrests been made in connection with this incident. Investigations are ongoing, with officers gathering information, seeking witnesses, and reviewing security cameras in the area to clarify the facts.

"We are in the midst of a full investigation, but everything points to a connection with drug-related matters, although information is still scarce."

the Minister of Interior
The bar where the shooting took place had previously been a source of controversy. Last year, the city council reported that local police had received multiple complaints from neighbors regarding noise and operational non-compliance at the establishment. Consequently, a fine exceeding 5,000 euros was imposed, along with a four-month closure of the venue, from March 8 to July 7, 2025.
This incident follows another fight that occurred the same weekend in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, in which the Mossos d'Esquadra arrested a 28-year-old man for assaulting another. The events took place on Friday night on Virge dels Desamparats street, also in the Torrassa neighborhood, and the local police's Investigation Unit is working to clarify the motives and identify other individuals involved.
