Born in 1935, Llorens spent his career at the helm of his family's 180-year-old woodworking business. After retiring at 66, he turned his attention to the study of antique ceramics from Catalonia, Valencia, and Aragon, transforming a lifelong interest into scholarly expertise.
“"Over time I have become an expert. You realize the responsibility involved in giving a name and context to an entire collection."
Following the artistic legacy of his father, Francesc Llorens i Riu, whose furniture collection is held by the Barcelona City Council, Jordi has authored seven books. His publications have filled critical gaps in the history of 17th-century ceramics, serving as essential guides for modern collectors.
