The Parliament President expressed satisfaction with the social focus of the events, highlighted Catalonia's national reality, and advocated for Catalan as its own language. He also recalled the upcoming commemoration of the Millennium of the Assemblies of Peace and Truce.

This request comes at a time when parties such as Junts and ERC have also urged the Catalan government, specifically Health Minister Josep Maria Argimon, to intervene and ensure the presence of Catalan in the pontiff's official events.
