The municipal group Junts in Barcelona has urged the government of Jaume Collboni to abandon the judicial dispute over the urban planning of the Gràcia neighborhood, requesting the withdrawal of appeals against rulings that have annulled modifications approved in 2022.

Junts has called on the city council to initiate "from consensus" the drafting of a new urban plan for Gràcia, taking into account the demands of residents, social and economic agents, as well as other political groups.
The party has warned that the rulings by the High Court of Justice of Catalonia (TSJC) create a "serious situation of legal uncertainty" and could lead to claims for patrimonial liability against the City Council. The final decision on the annulment of the specific modification to the metropolitan general plan affecting Gràcia now rests with the Supreme Court.
Junts councilor Carme Lleó recalled that her group had already warned, at the time of the planning's approval, that it "harmed property" and would hinder housing rehabilitation in the neighborhood. "This urban improvement plan [...] promoted by Colau and Collboni in 2022 and now overturned by the courts due to economic non-viability was a serious mistake. We were the only group that voted against it," she stressed.
