The union decided to take legal action after Interior officials admitted that the agents' presence was a mistake. According to the union, this operation violates fundamental rights such as freedom of expression, the right to strike, and the trade union freedom of those in attendance.
The CGT legal team has requested the full administrative file to clarify who ordered the operation and under what criteria the measure was justified in the name of public order. The union's legal services have expressed concern that this practice may not be an isolated incident.
“"The concern stems from the fact that no explanations were offered as to why this operation was carried out or the evidence upon which it was ordered."
At the same time, the union has sent a formal request to the General Information Commissariat of the Mossos d'Esquadra to obtain documentation regarding potential infiltrations in meetings and mobilizations of the organization over the last decade. Other unions in the education sector are also considering joining the legal path to denounce these practices.
