The Xarxa Vives d'Universitats launched La Conversa this February in Barcelona, the Catalan edition of The Conversation, aiming to bridge the gap between academia and society.

The platform La Conversa is the new Catalan language edition of The Conversation, a global ecosystem that brings university research to the public. With this launch, Catalan joins a high-impact scientific dissemination network originally founded in Australia.
The project is promoted by the Xarxa Vives d'Universitats and involves seventeen institutions, such as the University of Barcelona and the Autonomous University of Barcelona. This tool allows researchers to publish articles under a Creative Commons license.
The main goal is to highlight research conducted in Catalan and facilitate its social transfer. The content, edited by specialized journalists, seeks to connect academic knowledge with today's major challenges, fostering a more informed society.
The edition is supported by the Government of Catalonia, the Institut Ramon Llull, and the Catalan Foundation for Research and Innovation. In addition to original content, La Conversa will feature translations from other international editions.
