The Ginac Foundation presented today in Valls the project A Taste of Memories, Recipes from the Heart, an initiative collecting over 80 recipes and the memories of seniors from Camp de Tarragona.

The project A Taste of Memories, presented today at Ca Xapes in Valls, is a special work aiming to capture the culinary and vital richness of the elderly in Camp de Tarragona. The event honored the participating grandparents and the volunteers of the Bon dia! project, who greet them every morning.
During the presentation, a campaign was also announced to bring these recipes to restaurants in Valls, thereby promoting local gastronomic culture and the inclusion of seniors in society.
The initiative highlights the importance of listening to and valuing seniors, placing them at the center of social debate through dishes filled with memory and personal stories.
A Taste of Memories was born during the most challenging days of the covid-19 lockdown. Volunteers from the Bon dia! project initiated a telephone collection of recipes that were special to seniors for various reasons, resulting in a compilation of over 80 dishes, each explained by a participating elder.
Attendees at the event included the director of the Ginac Foundation, Jose Carlos Eiriz; the foundation's president, Anton Ferré; the mayor of Valls, Dolors Farré; as well as participating seniors, local artists, volunteers, and representatives from collaborating restaurants.
