The La Marina neighborhood, located in Barcelona's Zona Franca, has launched its spring Open Barri open house event this weekend, offering a unique opportunity to rediscover its architecture and distinctive spaces.

This initiative, part of the 'Barcelona World Capital of Architecture 2026' program, aims to bring built heritage closer to citizens and encourage reflection on the urban environment. The event, organized by 48h Open House Barcelona in collaboration with the Barcelona City Council, includes tours, visits, and activities that highlight the neighborhood's identity and transformation.
Throughout the weekend, various facilities and spaces have opened their doors to the public. Notable locations visited include the Masia Can Mestres with its urban garden, the Centre d'Atenció Integral (CAI), and the Torre de Ponent, providing a unique perspective on the area's architectural diversity.
Visits commenced from 10 AM, with varying schedules depending on the location. For most venues, access is on a first-come, first-served basis until capacity is reached. However, some specific activities or workshops may require prior registration via the official 48h Open House Barcelona website, so it is advisable to check the program in advance to secure a spot.
