The city of Barcelona will transform into a major musical stage during the celebration of La Mercè 2026, taking place from September 23rd to 27th. The festival will host more than a hundred performances spread across 14 different music venues, offering a wide variety of styles and acts.
The lineup includes prominent names from the music scene such as Nacho Vegas, Els Amics de les Arts, Els Catarres, Svetlana, Maria Jaume, Sexenni, Buhos, and La Pegatina, among many other artists.
Concerts will be held in various emblematic locations across the city, including Plaça de Catalunya (BAM), Moll de la Fusta (BAM), Rambla del Raval (BAM), Teatre Grec (Música Mercè), Jardins del Doctor Pla i Armengol (Música Mercè), Avinguda de la Catedral (Música Mercè), Seu del Districte a la plaça Major de Nou Barris (Música Mercè), Platja del Bogatell, Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina, Parc de la Ciutadella, Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm, Ateneu l’Harmonia, Plaça de Can Fabra, and Fabra i Coats.
The opening day, Wednesday, September 23rd, will kick off with performances at Plaça de Catalunya starting at 7 PM, featuring the Sona9 contest and acts by Via Ferreira, Brama, and Imarhan. Other venues like Moll de la Fusta and Rambla del Raval will also offer music from 10:30 PM onwards.
The Teatre Grec will host concerts with limited capacity, including performances by Pol Batlle and Luísa Sobral on Wednesday the 23rd, and Nacho Vegas and La Paloma on Friday the 25th. The Jardins del Doctor Pla i Armengol will present jazz and electronic music, while the Avinguda de la Catedral will feature concerts by artists like Sabor de Gràcia and Arp Frique and the Perpetual Singers.
Performances will continue throughout the weekend. On Thursday the 24th, highlights include concerts at the Seu del Districte de Nou Barris with the Orquestra i Cor del Gran Teatre del Liceu and at the Avinguda de la Catedral with María Terremoto. On Friday the 25th, Platja del Bogatell will host artists like Sexenni and Buhos, and Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina will feature Maria Jaume and Els Amics de les Arts.
On Saturday, September 26th, Plaça de Catalunya and Moll de la Fusta will host concerts until the early morning, while the Antiga Fàbrica Estrella Damm will offer a daytime program. The Teatre Grec will present Ana Rossi + Joana Queiroz and Def Mama def. Platja del Bogatell will feature La Pegatina and Svetlana, and Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina will include Paula Koops and Leire Martínez.
On Sunday, September 27th, music will continue in various locations. Plaça de Sant Jaume will host Carola Ortiz with habaneras, and at Plaça de Can Fabra, attendees can listen to De Gairó and enjoy a show celebrating the 10th anniversary of BAM-Acció Cultura Viva.
