The Old Town of Girona experienced an intense day of filming for the Disney film Enredados, which has turned the city into the kingdom of Corona. Streets near the Cathedral and Apòstols street were closed for filming, attracting onlookers and tourists.
The production maintained strict secrecy, but the movement of nearly five hundred extras was evident. Nobles, maidens, and townsfolk paraded through the streets, with the Josep Riera Library serving as a meeting point for background actors before joining the scenes.
The Apòstols square and the ascent to the Cathedral became an improvised stable for the horses participating in the scenes. Claveria street was a key point for observing preparations and the arrival of cast members.
Around eleven-thirty in the morning, American actor Milo Manheim, the film's protagonist playing Flynn Rider, arrived in the restricted area. US producer Kristin Burr, responsible for the project for Burr! Productions, was also present.
Filming in Girona will continue until August 3rd. The production will move to the Sant Domènec ascent, where a set with banners, market stalls, and painted steps is being prepared. In the Jurats square, the decoration for a simulated market and a mosaic of kings and the princess is already complete.
Filming is also planned in Besalú at the end of the week, with closures on the medieval bridge. The art department is already working on the ambiance of this historic site.
