This week alone, two major sinkholes have been detected in the city of Badalona. One appeared at the intersection of Democràcia and Júpiter streets, while the other occurred on Thursday on Baldomer Galofré street, in the Bufalà neighborhood.
The generalized poor condition of the pavement and structural deficiencies in the city's sewage network are key factors. Water infiltrates beneath the asphalt during intense rain episodes, accelerating the deterioration of the roadway and increasing the risk of collapse.
The situation worries residents and drivers, who demand preventive actions and a more constant maintenance plan to avoid similar incidents in the future.
This situation is not isolated, as other holes and collapses have also been detected in various parts of Badalona in recent days, highlighting the need for urgent investment in urban infrastructure.
