The investigation targets a criminal group operating between Catalonia and Italy, specializing in cocaine and hashish smuggling. Police are conducting multiple searches to arrest the main leaders of the network.
Approximately 150 officers from the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) and tactical units are involved in the raids, supported by drones and canine units. The judicial proceedings are currently under court secrecy.
This marks the second major international drug raid in the region recently, following a similar operation on February 10 that involved collaboration with Italian authorities in cities like Badalona and Mataró.
