The Mossos d'Esquadra police force launched a large-scale operation this Tuesday, March 3, in Barcelona and l'Hospitalet de Llobregat to dismantle an international criminal organization involved in drug trafficking.

The raid, which began early in the morning, targets the leaders of a gang specialized in smuggling cocaine and hashish. Investigators believe the network operated across Catalonia and Italy.
Police officers from the Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) are expected to carry out nine searches in various properties across the Barcelonès region. The legal proceedings remain under seal.
Around 150 officers are involved in the deployment, including specialized units such as ARRO, BRIMO, canine units, and drone support to monitor the targeted locations.
