Singer Mama Dousha, known for his role as a judge on Eufòria, has shared reflections on his stage name, the success of his song Rikiti, and his professional journey in a recent interview.

The Catalan artist, who rose to fame with his hit Rikiti a couple of years before his appearance on Eufòria, has confessed that he regrets his stage name. As he explained, he initially chose it for songs he didn't intend to gain traction, and the unexpected success of Rikiti led him to keep it despite not liking it.

"It's the worst name I could have ever thought of. It's ugly, hard to say, hard to write, and geographically takes you to South Africa. It's quite horrible…"

Despite his opinion on the name, the artist does not feel the same about the song that propelled him to popularity. He emphasized that he doesn't hate Rikiti, as he considers it a good song, and expressed his surprise at its impact, as it originated from an informal collaboration with a friend.

"I don't hate Rikiti because it's a very good song; I just say I was very surprised when it blew up. It was one of those songs you make with your typical lifelong friend while laughing."

From a young age, the singer was clear about his musical vocation. Before achieving success, he held various jobs related to the industry, such as a caretaker in rehearsal spaces, concert assembler, sound technician, bartender, and catering service for artists. He also worked as a music teacher at a school in Sant Just Desvern, a job he temporarily left after Rikiti's success and has no intention of resuming for now.
On a personal note, the artist revealed details about his family origins, with an Argentine father, a Catalan mother, and Italian grandparents, which makes him feel without a clear geographical affiliation. He also shared his recent experience as a father, highlighting the challenge of balancing parenthood with his musical career, especially during his tour preparations and participation in Eufòria.
Regarding his role as a judge on Eufòria, he humorously commented on the "extravagant" wardrobe required, but assured that he enjoys the experience and tries to be sincere and consistent with his criteria, even though the program encourages positive reinforcement.
