Marta Torres Llatje, a 19-year-old student at Institut Roquetes, has attained the highest score in Terres de l'Ebre for the general PAU exams, according to data from the Department of Research and Universities. Her score was 9.10. Torres acknowledged that the exam felt "friendlier than I expected" and that her preparation relied on work done during the academic year, supplemented by practice and summaries.
The student chose the Humanities track for her baccalaureate, including Greek and Art Theory as optional subjects, a path that now leads her towards a double degree in History and Art History. In addition to her academic pursuits, Marta Torres also dedicates time to studying piano at the Conservatori de Tortosa.
Torres described her final year of high school as a "bittersweet" experience, characterized by a significant increase in academic rigor but also by the formation of a "great group of friends." She expressed gratitude for the support received from her teachers, tutor, head of Baccalaureate, as well as her family and friends, who served as constant sources of guidance.
Following Institut Roquetes, other educational centers in the region also recorded notable scores, with a 9 achieved by students from Institut Dertosa in Tortosa (residing in Alcanar), the Col·legi Diocesà de la Sagrada Família in Tortosa, Institut Ramon Berenguer IV in Amposta, and Institut les Planes in Santa Bàrbara.
At the Catalan level, the highest score went to Laura Tallada from Banyoles (9.9), while in the province of Tarragona, Miquel Edo from Institut Baix Camp in Reus achieved a 9.7.
