This labor adjustment, set to begin on May 1 and extend until June 30, represents 18% of the company's workforce in the country. The agreement signifies a substantial reduction from the 237 workers initially considered, thanks to negotiations and employee mobilizations.
The agreed-upon severance conditions include compensation close to that for unfair dismissal, exceeding legal minimums. Furthermore, a voluntary component has been introduced for departures, allowing some affected personnel to opt for non-forced exits. The agreement also guarantees these maximum severance conditions for one year in cases of objective dismissal and geographical mobility.
The impact of this ERE will be significant in Barcelona, where workers from three key facilities will be affected: the Torre + Pata offices on Diagonal, the CPA center (Avenida Diagonal, 177), and the Port de Barcelona work center. Those affected will be able to receive legal advice from Col·lectiu Ronda to manage contract terminations.
To access the maximum compensation, employees must sign their termination as 'conforme' (in agreement) and waive any future claims against the company. Otherwise, they will only receive the minimum legal compensation of 20 days per year worked. The file also includes early retirement provisions for those over 55 and a six-month external outplacement plan through Right Management.
