MICFootball 2026 breaks records with over 8,500 players in Girona

The 24th edition of the international youth football tournament will feature 464 teams from 40 countries.

The international MICFootball tournament presented its 24th edition in Barcelona, scheduled to take place from March 31 to April 5, 2026, with record-breaking numbers.

The competition will gather 464 teams from forty countries, involving more than 8,500 young players. Matches will be held across 60 pitches in 45 municipalities in the Girona region. FC Barcelona stars Pau Cubarsí and Kika Nazareth attended the launch at CosmoCaixa as event ambassadors.
Top-tier clubs such as Real Madrid, Arsenal, Juventus, and Ajax will participate in 1,143 matches. The tournament, presided over by David Bellver, is expected to attract over 10,000 people to the Costa Brava during Easter, providing a significant boost to the local economy.
