The events occurred on Saturn Street, where Catalan police received an alert around 6:15 PM regarding several detonations. Upon arrival, officers found multiple bullet casings on the ground, but none of the individuals involved in the incident.

Following this event, the Mossos d'Esquadra have launched an investigation to locate those responsible for the shots. Some reports suggest a possible second incident involving a shot vehicle a short distance away, and that the trigger may have been a prior family dispute, although the police have not confirmed this information.

This shooting comes just days after the Mossos arrested two men allegedly involved in several shootings and violent incidents in the same neighborhood between 2024 and 2026. The investigation into those events began in April following a firearm confrontation.

The city of Barcelona has recently been the scene of several firearm incidents. On April 24, a man was seriously injured by gunfire in the Sants-Badal neighborhood. Previously, on April 14, a person was wounded by a bullet on Passeig del Taulat and died days later in the hospital, a case being investigated as a revenge between rival clans.
