Storm Nils brought historic winds to Catalonia, with gusts exceeding 100 km/h in the metropolitan area. The victim passed away at Vall d'Hebron Hospital after part of a roof collapsed on her in an industrial building in Barcelona.
In Barcelona, wind speeds reached 105 km/h at the port. El Prat Airport was forced to cancel 101 flights, and emergency services responded to nearly 4,000 calls related to fallen trees and damaged infrastructure.
