Catalonia faces another day of meteorological instability this Monday, with the arrival of rain and storms contrasting with the good weather expected for the end of the week.

The weather forecast for this Monday indicates an initially clear morning, but with a progressive increase in cloudiness that could cover the sky completely. Precipitation is expected in the coastal and pre-coastal areas from early hours, extending to the northern third and eastern half of the territory by midday. The intensity of the rainfall will increase, with the possibility of storms and hail in the afternoon. The snow line will be around 2,000 meters.
The Servei Meteorològic de Catalunya (Meteocat) and the State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) have activated yellow and orange level alerts for rainfall intensity in several counties of Tarragona, Girona, and Barcelona. Accumulations exceeding 20 liters per square meter in half an hour are expected. Minimum temperatures will rise slightly, while maximum temperatures will decrease in most areas. The wind will be light and variable in direction.
For Tuesday, a slight improvement is anticipated with the presence of an anticyclonic ridge, although rain is still expected in some areas. The sky could remain overcast, and showers would be concentrated from midday in the interior northeast quadrant, the Pyrenees, and parts of the pre-coastal mountain range. Meteocat maintains yellow alerts for rainfall intensity in Girona counties. Temperatures will continue to rise moderately, with maximums potentially reaching 30ºC in Lleida.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, a stable situation dominated by high pressure is expected. The sky will be partly cloudy, and rainfall will be reduced to scattered showers in the Pyrenees and parts of the northeast quadrant. Maximum temperatures will continue to rise, exceeding 30ºC in many areas and reaching up to 33ºC in Lleida. The wind will remain light and variable in direction.
