The Poble-sec Summer Festival 2026 will be held over ten days this summer, specifically from July 17th to 26th. The festivities will fill various streets and squares in the neighborhood with activities for all audiences. A program is expected to include concerts, the traditional correfoc (fire run), and other notable events.
This year's poster is the work of illustrator Sara Jansen Avecilla. The artwork depicts various activities, people, and emblematic entities of the neighborhood and the festival, such as the witch costumes of the Diables del Poble-sec, the children of the Tabalers, the cat Sirius (inspired by the artist's own cat), and the light blue shirts of the Castellers del Poble-sec, the Societat Coral els Moderns, and the new Gegants (giants).
The detailed program for the Poble-sec 2026 Summer Festival is still pending an update, but it is anticipated to include events such as an entities' parade, displays of festive imagery, concerts, and music festivals like Sec a Sac. There will also be performances by giants, human towers (castellers), concerts by various groups and musical styles, karaoke, board games, and shows.
Among the events scheduled for Friday, July 18th, in the Jardins de les Tres Xemeneies are the festival opening, a parade, a display of festive imagery with Aires Celtas, the opening speech by the Gegants and the Diables del Poble-Sec, and the Sec a Sac music festival featuring Svetlana, Sybarites, and DJ Perla Negra.
On Saturday, July 19th, the Plaça de Santa Madrona will host the gathering and performance of the Geganters i Grallers del Poble-sec, followed by a parade. In the Jardins de les Tres Xemeneies, the Castellers del Poble Sec will present the Sec a Sac music festival with La Otra, Maleza, and DJ Hijas de la Cumbia. Other concerts will take place on Carrer de Blesa with Los Toros and Frank Furillo, on Carrer de Blai with Vichente Funk and Soul Edits, and in the Plaça de Las Navas with a musical night and board games.
On Sunday, July 20th, the Plaça del Sortidor will host the Poble-sec race, while the Plaça de Santa Madrona will feature a taitxí workshop and a sardana dance with the Cobla Baix Llobregat.
The following week, on Friday, July 25th, the Plaça de Valeri Powles will offer live music with Club Caliente and La Mar DJ. The Plaça Santa Madrona will host a fire demonstration and a communal dinner. On Carrer de Tapioles, at La Raposa, the Tornem Paral·lel party will be held.
On Saturday, July 26th, the Plaça de Las Navas will be the stage for the children's and adult correfoc, preceded by a fire show. The Plaça del Sortidor will host the tabalada (drumming). Additionally, the Sala 3 of Apolo will offer free concerts with artists such as 2machines, Laura Elle, Tukki LaRola, and Kinetika.
The festival will conclude on Sunday, July 27th, in the Jardins de les Tres Xemeneies with a fireworks display.
