Popular mobilization in Vila de Gràcia has been crucial in ensuring the continuity of Lluïsos de Gràcia at their historic court, avoiding a critical 'match-ball' for the sports entity's future.

The project, named Volem jugar a casa (We want to play at home), spearheaded by Lluïsos de Gràcia, has emerged as the most voted proposal within the Pista Solidària Endesa crowdfunding platform. With a total of 9,614 votes, it significantly surpassed the other four winning initiatives among the nearly 250 presented in the competition.
This popular victory will enable the comprehensive renovation of the Lluïsos de Gràcia basketball court. Endesa will finance the works through a shared system, matching the first 2,500 euros raised for each project, which will result in a total contribution of up to 10,000 euros per initiative, as reported by Europa Press.

"At Lluïsos de Gràcia, we've wanted to play at home for a long time. Thanks to Cancha Solidaria Endesa, we are one step closer!"

The sports club had previously expressed the urgent need for improvements to the pavilion to continue competing under optimal conditions. Thanks to this initiative, the pavilion will undergo a renovation that includes the removal of the asbestos roof, improved thermal and acoustic insulation, expansion of the court and safety distances, installation of a solar panel roof, and the creation of an energy community, in addition to expanding sports and cultural spaces.
Thus, Lluïsos will be able to continue playing at their usual location after these necessary and costly reforms. This situation is reminiscent of the recent case of Europa, the Gràcia football team, which had to relocate to the Can Dragó field to comply with federative regulations requiring natural grass, a condition that Nou Sardenya could not meet due to technical and economic complications.
