The Barcelona City Council and the Department of Territory have opened a Citizen Attention Point at the Vil·la Florida Civic Center to support residents affected by preventive evictions in Sarrià-Sant Gervasi.

This attention point, open since 10:00 AM, aims to inform, guide, and support residents affected by the cavity detected due to the works on the new Line 9 metro. The service will remain open until 9:00 PM.
Following the first night of monitoring, technical services from the Generalitat and the municipality have agreed to continue monitoring the buildings and the ground before allowing residents to return to their homes. No decision regarding a staggered return will be made before Saturday.
Barcelona Firefighters will maintain a permanent presence at the site to ensure safety, control the situation, and assist residents who need to access their homes to retrieve belongings.
The Center for Social Urgency and Emergencies of Barcelona (CUESB) will also be present at the attention point. On the first day, the CUESB assisted 85 people, only two of whom required municipal accommodation. The CUESB will maintain necessary resources to ensure accommodation for those without alternatives during the eviction period.
The Directorate General for Mobility Infrastructure explained that after the cavity was filled, a continuous monitoring system has been activated. Night data shows a deceleration of movements, indicating a progressive stabilization.
Despite these positive initial results, technical managers emphasize that a definitive stabilization cannot yet be declared. Temperature changes between day and night affect measurement devices and buildings, necessitating comparison of data under identical conditions for at least three consecutive days to ensure complete stabilization. Therefore, no decision on residents' return is expected before Saturday.
