The facades, which date from 1858 and were integrated into El Clot park in 1986, will be rehabilitated and consolidated to ensure their conservation, improve safety, and preserve their heritage value. The project, managed by Barcelona d’Infraestructures Municipals SA (BIMSA), is scheduled for completion in the first quarter of 2027.
The work includes repairing damage, treating cracks, cleaning, removing vegetation, and restoring original elements. Protection treatments against humidity and graffiti will also be applied to facilitate future maintenance.
Specific actions include restoring volumes due to detachments, high-pressure water cleaning, resin injection for cracks, and replacement of broken pieces. Vegetation attached to the facades will be removed, and surfaces will be restored, eliminating embedded rust.
This intervention is part of the Integral Maintenance Plan (PMI) within the Pla Endreça, considered the city's most ambitious plan in the last fifteen years to maintain the excellence of public spaces. By 2027, the Pla Endreça is expected to have completed over 3,000 maintenance, renovation, and transformation actions with a total budget of 435 million euros.
