The Barcelona City Council and the Archbishopric have started restoration works on the Segadors Chapel in Sant Andreu de Palomar to preserve its historical and structural integrity.

The project focuses on repairing the roof and stabilizing the exterior walls. The total cost of 300,000 euros is funded by the Generalitat, the Church, and the City Council, which contributes 130,000 euros from tourist tax revenue.
Located near Carrer dels Segadors, this chapel is one of the few remaining parts of the original parish complex. The renovation includes using traditional brickwork and new wooden beams to respect the building's original 17th-century geometry.

"This intervention strengthens the neighborhood's identity and provides educational opportunities to promote historical awareness."

Local organizations, including the Sant Andreu Neighborhood Association, have advocated for this project since 2019. Future plans include a second phase to restore the chapel's interior once the current exterior work is finished.
