City councillor Rosa Suriñach officially presented her candidacy, Construïm Esquerra Barcelona, on March 20, aiming to lead the ERC party federation in Barcelona through a process of renewal.

The project led by Suriñach emphasizes the need for ideological debate and a stronger street presence. The proposal was developed following a series of meetings with party members, starting with an open session attended by a hundred people to address the concerns of the local base.

"The goal is to bring back enthusiasm to the members."

The proposed leadership team includes Nil Font as General Secretary and Núria Cuenca in charge of Organization and Finance. The list also features specialists in areas such as communication, political action, feminism, and ecological transition.
Notably, the candidacy has intentionally left some positions vacant. Suriñach explained that this is a strategic move to incorporate members from rival lists after the party congress, aiming to overcome past grievances and integrate all internal viewpoints.
