Gabriel Rufián, spokesperson for ERC in Congress, and Podemos MEP Irene Montero will hold a political event in Barcelona on April 9th.

The discussion, titled What is to be done?, will be moderated by former MP Xavier Domènech. The event aims to address the current challenges facing the Spanish left and explore potential alliances to counter the rise of the far-right.
This meeting follows Rufián's recent efforts to build a common front with other progressive forces. In February, he met with Emilio Delgado from Más Madrid to discuss optimizing the left-wing vote and creating a unified alternative to the PSOE.
The event takes place amid internal restructuring within Sumar. Following poor regional election results, several parties including EU and Més Madrid are seeking to rebuild a coalition that can serve as a primary reference for progressive voters.
