The Sant Jordi 2026 celebration in Barcelona is gearing up for a record-breaking edition with nearly four kilometers of stalls, but with the notable absence of La Rambla due to ongoing construction, relocating activities to other central city points.

Booksellers and florists in Barcelona are fully prepared for the Sant Jordi 2026 celebration, which is expected to be one of the largest to date. The day promises an unprecedented offering, with nearly four kilometers of stalls dedicated to books and roses, surpassing previous editions.
However, this year's festival will present an unusual sight in one of its most iconic locations. La Rambla, the traditional epicenter of the celebration, will be devoid of stalls due to ongoing renovation works affecting the promenade. This circumstance has necessitated the relocation of a significant portion of the activities.
As an alternative, the stalls and activities will move to central areas such as Plaça de Catalunya, Avinguda del Portal de l'Àngel, and Avinguda de la Catedral. Additionally, the city will feature a "literary super-block" and twelve extra spaces with rose and book stalls distributed across seven of the Catalan capital's districts, ensuring the celebration reaches every corner.
