Residents and visitors will be able to enjoy the festivity close to home, with book and rose sales points located in emblematic places such as the rambla del Poblenou, the plaça del Mercat del Clot, and the Biblioteca Gabriel García Márquez. Additionally, booksellers and florists will have the opportunity to set up their stalls in front of their establishments.
The rambla del Poblenou, between passeig del Calvell and avinguda Diagonal, will host stalls and commercial activities from 10 AM to 9 PM. Other locations with stalls include carrer del Cabanyal, carrer de la Sèquia Comtal, plaça del Mercat, plaça de Font i Sagué, and the space of the Biblioteca Gabriel García Márquez.
The cultural program will extend beyond the stalls, with various proposals for culture enthusiasts. The Centre Cívic Can Felipa will host the play “Per Sant Jordi parlem llengües” on April 21 at 5 PM, with free admission upon prior registration. On April 23, the Cia. L'Esbord will present the dance show “Hereu Riera” at the Centre Cívic del Besòs i el Maresme at 7 PM.
Literary activities will also be a fundamental pillar of the celebration. The Biblioteca Gabriel García Márquez will be the setting for the “Diàlegs de Sant Jordi” on April 17 at 6:30 PM, featuring Maria Rovira and Desirée de Fez. The Centre Cultural La Farinera del Clot will organize on April 18 the “90 minuts de glòria. IX Concurs Internacional de Literatura Ràpida de la Plaça de les Glòries”.
Furthermore, the Casal de Barri Bac de Roda – Poblenou will host a literary discussion on April 23 at 7 PM, titled “Del paper en blanc al circuit editorial”. The Casal de Barri Vila Olímpica – Can Gili Nou will also celebrate the day with activities on April 23, from 9 AM to 1:30 PM and from 4 PM to 9 PM, with prior registration.
