The new Barcelona City Council councillor, Sara Belbeida, has begun her term leading the Horta-Guinardó district this March, succeeding Lluís Rabell.

At 35 years old, Belbeida is now the youngest member of the local government. Born in Barcelona, the PSC councillor has a background in criminology and mediation, skills she intends to use to address the demands of the district's 11 neighborhoods.

"I come with great enthusiasm to govern by listening to the people and being on the streets to solve neighborhood demands."
