The Secretary of State for Transport, José Antonio Santano, is moving to Barcelona this Tuesday to set up his office and oversee the recovery of the Rodalies service following recent incidents.

The Secretary of State for Transport, José Antonio Santano, has traveled to the Catalan capital to establish his operational base, responding to the serious crisis affecting the Rodalies commuter rail service. This decision follows new interruptions recorded this Tuesday, including problems at the Adif control center that briefly paralyzed the service.
Santano's presence at the Government Delegation in Barcelona has no fixed return date and will be maintained until the rail service fully recovers. The main objective is to ensure the normalization of the system "as soon as possible," according to sources from the Ministry led by Óscar Puente.

The measure seeks to facilitate direct dialogue between the Ministry of Transport and the Generalitat of Catalonia to coordinate service recovery efforts.

This action comes in response to the explicit request from the Regional Minister of Territory, Housing and Ecological Transition and spokesperson for the Generalitat, Sílvia Paneque, who had requested that Santano establish himself permanently in Catalonia until the Rodalies system was fully stabilized.
