A total of nine people have been injured, including one in critical condition, during the severe windstorm that paralyzed Catalonia this Thursday, February 12th.

The most serious case involves a 46-year-old man admitted to Vall d'Hebron Hospital in Barcelona after a warehouse roof collapsed on him. Other severe injuries include a patient at Bellvitge Hospital struck by a falling tree and another individual in Barcelona hit by a falling lamppost.
Incidents were also reported in Vilassar de Mar and L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, involving wall collapses and debris falling onto vehicles. Civil Protection managed over 450 alerts throughout the morning, although most calls were from citizens seeking safety advice during the extreme weather episode.
The Catalan Government has now lifted the mobility restrictions implemented on Wednesday. However, officials have kept the suspension of educational and outdoor leisure activities in place, urging the public to remain cautious during any necessary travel.
