Striking teachers have blocked several routes in Catalonia during the fourth day of protests, demanding labor improvements from the Catalan administration, with minority support but significant mobility disruptions.

The Catalan educational community is experiencing today the fourth strike day of the academic year, called by unions such as Ustec, Aspepc, and CGT Ensenyament, along with the platform La Intersindical. The protest, which began at eleven in the morning with a march from Pla de Palau to Plaça Drassanes in Barcelona, aims to pressure the administration for labor improvements.
Despite the public outcry, the strike's support in educational centers has been, according to provisional data from the Government, minoritary, with 8.43% of staff joining the call. The conflict resolution could occur this afternoon, during the sixth sectoral table meeting scheduled for three o'clock, where the department led by counselor Esther Niubó has proposed a salary supplement of 80 million euros.
Mobility, however, has been directly affected. The Ustec union has confirmed traffic blockages in both directions of the AP-7 highway near Torredembarra and Girona, as well as on the A-2 highway in Lleida. Furthermore, a group of teachers has blocked the Ronda Litoral near the Port of Barcelona, causing up to seven kilometers of traffic jams.
