Following five days of historic strikes that concluded with a massive march at the Parliament of Catalonia, union leaders are increasing pressure on the Generalitat. They argue that the government cannot remain silent after the significant demonstrations seen last week.

The unions have proposed a meeting for this Tuesday morning at the University of Barcelona's historic building. They seek to resolve a conflict they claim remains open, despite previous agreements signed by the government with CCOO and UGT unions.
