The Construction Board of the Sagrada Familia Expiatory Temple and Telefónica have formalized a collaboration agreement to commemorate the centenary of Antoni Gaudí's death, coinciding with the upcoming inauguration of the Tower of Jesus Christ.
The agreement stipulates that Telefónica will support the commemorative events for the centenary of Antoni Gaudí's death, which include the papal blessing of the Tower of Jesus Christ, the highest part of the temple. This collaboration is part of a total of thirty-one activities designed to honor the renowned architect's figure, funded through a network of patronage and corporate sponsorship.
Telefónica's participation will extend to various initiatives related to the inauguration of the Tower of Jesus Christ and the institutional and cultural events planned throughout the year. These events will feature digital experiences, audiovisual content, and technological projects aimed at bringing Gaudí's work closer to a global audience.
One of the highlighted contents will be the documentary Sagrada Família, 7 dies abans (Sagrada Familia, 7 days before), produced by TBS (owned by Telefónica) and to be broadcast on Movistar Plus. This documentary will offer privileged behind-the-scenes access to the preparations for the inauguration of the Tower of Jesus, showing the countdown, technical coordination, rehearsals, and unforeseen event management.
The collaboration will also be evident during the start of the Tour de France from Barcelona, which will begin in front of the temple, with the participation of the Movistar Team.
