British band The Cure delivered a performance of over two hours at Barcelona's Primavera Sound, revisiting major hits and new tracks to an enthusiastic audience.

British band The Cure offered a masterclass in maturity and quality for over two hours on the stage of Primavera Sound, at Barcelona's Parc del Fòrum. Although they didn't surpass their own record duration at the festival, Robert Smith and his bandmates showcased their experience and an extensive repertoire.
During the concert, iconic tracks from albums such as The head on the door (1985), Disintegration (1989), and Wish (1992) were played, alongside pieces from their most recent work, Songs of a lost world (2024). Smith's voice revisited popular songs like "Pictures of you", "Lovesong", "Just like heaven", and "Friday I'm in love", concluding the performance with their anthem "Boys don't cry".
The festival day was marked by female presence. American artist Ethel Cain, with her gothic vibes, connected with The Cure's style. Also from the United States, Addison Rae presented her upbeat pop in her first performance in Spain, captivating the audience despite not allowing television recording.
Addison Rae appeared on a large wheel crowned with the letter A and connected with the attendees from the first song. Accompanied by dancers and with several costume changes, she performed songs such as "Money is everything", "New York", "In the rain", "Headphones on", and "High fashion", saving "Fame is a gun" for the end. The lineup of female artists also included British singer Jade, Ghanaian artist Amaarae, and Catalan performer Pavvla, who returned to the festival seven years later.
