Nearly 100,000 teachers and doctors filled the streets of Barcelona this Friday to protest against Generalitat policies, culminating in a massive demonstration at the Parliament.

The mobilization united the 'yellow tide' of the education sector with the 'white coats' of healthcare. While the Guàrdia Urbana estimated 35,000 attendees, unions claimed over 100,000 participants. Teachers expressed strong opposition to the Department of Education, rejecting a recent agreement signed by minority unions CCOO and UGT.

"Public education is standing tall, organized, and not willing to remain silent."
