The victory of Joan Laporta in the FC Barcelona elections this Sunday in Barcelona confirms that Joan Soler and Jaume Nicolàs, two businessmen from Vilafranca del Penedès, will join the board.

The Defensem el Barça candidacy secured 68% of the votes, bringing local representation from the Alt Penedès region to the club. Joan Soler Ferré, born in 1974 and former president of FC Vilafranca, continues his tenure after previously managing youth football. Jaume Nicolàs Magriña, born in 1968 and an automotive sector executive, joins the board for the first time.

"I have access to the club's numbers and I know the situation. Deco will be able to manage signings and renewals freely."
