The Virginia Novel Podiatry Hospital of the University of Barcelona, located at the Bellvitge Health Sciences Campus, serves as a vital training ground for future podiatrists, treating over 10,000 patients a year.

Part of the Josep Finestres Foundation, the hospital provides specialized services including operating rooms and radiology units. Each semester, approximately sixty students gain hands-on experience under professional supervision.

"When students graduate, they have already completed at least three semesters working directly with patients, supervised by qualified professors."

Carles Vergés · Medical Director of the hospital
Beyond routine care, the center focuses on advanced research. Podiatry is essential for managing systemic conditions like diabetes. The institution is currently advancing studies in podiatric oncology and implementing new diagnostic technologies.
