The Vallbona d'Anoia City Council has definitively approved modifications to the municipal waste fee ordinance to make it more equitable and adapt it to household realities.

The Vallbona d'Anoia City Council has definitively approved modifications to the Fiscal Ordinance regulating the fee for the provision of municipal waste collection, transport, and treatment services. The main goal is to make taxation fairer, incentivize citizen participation, and better adapt it to the reality of each household.
One of the main novelties is the establishment of a reduced fee of 190 euros for empty homes. This status must be requested via application before the end of March through the municipal electronic office. Technicians will verify that no person is registered or waste contributions recorded at the dwelling.
The minimum number of annual organic waste contributions required to access the optimal fee bracket has also been reduced, dropping from the current 91 to just 67. This measure aims to facilitate access to the lowest fee for one or two-person households or those generating little waste.
Regarding bonuses, the 5% reduction for using the Mobile Recycling Center requires a minimum of 5 annual contributions and must be requested before the end of February. Bonuses for pensioners, people with disabilities equal to or greater than 65%, and unemployment situations must be submitted before the end of March.
