The Vallcarca neighborhood, in the Gràcia district, will celebrate its Festival between September 3rd and 10th, 2026. The festivities, organized by Can Carol, FEACCC, and the Espai Relacional, include a wide range of activities designed for all ages, forming part of the festival calendar for the neighborhoods of Barcelona.
On Friday, September 4th, the square will come alive with activities starting at 7 PM, including decorations, fluorescent face painting, and a salsa dance, followed by a 'tabalada' (drum parade) and 'correfoc' (fire run) at 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM respectively.
On Saturday, September 5th, Plaça de la Farigola will be the hub of the day's events. From 11 AM, there will be a showcase of local artisans, a table tennis tournament, a circus workshop, and an intergenerational 'guateque' (party). In the afternoon, attendees can enjoy a popular 'fideuà' (seafood noodle dish) (with tickets available from September 1st), a musical bingo, an Irish dance with Aires Celtes, a Holi color festival, and 'havaneres' (sea shanties) with rum with Barcarola. A communal dinner with packed lunches will precede the festival night with performances by Columba, Solc, and PD La cara B.
On Wednesday, September 9th, between 5 PM and 8:30 PM, a blood donation drive will be organized.
The complete festival program can be downloaded in PDF format. This year's poster is a collective work, resulting from the participation of 22 neighborhood residents in the creative workshop 'Fem el cartell de la festa major!', inspired by the Inevitable Festival d’Arts Comunitàries de Salt.
Activities will be spread across various streets and squares in the Vallcarca neighborhood.
