The Barcelona Ombudsman has concluded the mediation table for those affected by the Rambla Verda project in Vallcarca, with half of the vulnerable residents accepting new housing solutions.

Out of 28 people identified in vulnerable situations, 14 have agreed to move to social housing managed by the Barcelona City Council. According to the report released this week, six residents will move to Casa Orsola, five to the Torre Baró neighborhood, and three to the Gòtic district.

"In June they had an eviction order, now we have achieved 28 housing solutions."

Deputy Mayor Laia Bonet confirmed that the council will now proceed with the official recovery of the municipal properties located on Farigola street and Vallcarca avenue. While 14 individuals rejected the offers, the city maintains its plan to clear the buildings for the urban project.
