During the closure, several improvements were made at the L4 station, including raising the platforms, widening fixed staircases, and modifying the lobby's floor structure. Line 4 trains have operated normally during this period but did not stop at Verdaguer.
Additionally, starting this Monday, transfers between lines 4 and 5 will be possible again via the internal corridor, following adaptation works that began on October 13th of last year. These works involved replacing stairs with ramps to enhance accessibility.
Despite the normalization of the L4 station and the connecting corridor, the first phase of civil works for the adaptation of the Verdaguer metro interchange continues. These works, carried out by the Department of Territory, Housing, and Ecological Transition of the Generalitat de Catalunya, include the construction of shafts for new elevators and escalators between the L4 lobby and its platforms. The project has an investment of 8.6 million euros.
The Verdaguer station records an average of 6,500 daily validations in July and 4,800 in August.
