The Gràcia community, led by entities such as the Federació de Colles de Sant Medir, has demonstrated its vitality and social commitment by organizing numerous solidarity and festive activities throughout December.

The President of the Federació de Colles de Sant Medir, Josep Antoni Torralba, highlighted the ability of the Gràcia neighborhood to unite and bring about moments of social impact. A key example has been the 13th edition of La Marató Festival, which requires hours of silent work from volunteers.
In addition to the solidarity effort, the neighborhood is preparing for Nadal a Vila (Christmas in the Town), which will fill the square with free activities designed for the youngest residents. These initiatives aim to turn the public space into a “refuge of magic and joy.”

"These festivities are much more than fun: they are identity, they are commitment, they are the reflection of a Gràcia that does not give up."

The program also includes the Solidarity Fair in Plaça Virreina, the Elderly People's Festival, the Home dels Nassos (Man of the Noses), and the visit of the Royal Postwomen. Torralba emphasizes that these initiatives, which seek to build community and ensure no one feels alone, require the effort and involvement of everyone: institutions, neighbors, businesses, and entities.
