Six units of the Bombers de la Generalitat extinguished a fire that burned the dining room of an apartment in the La Florida neighborhood of L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, leaving six residents treated for smoke inhalation Wednesday night.

The fire alarm was received at 10:47 PM (22.47h) on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, in a block of ground floor plus five stories located on L’ El·lipse Street, in the La Florida neighborhood. The flames were concentrated in the dining room of a first-floor apartment, which was completely destroyed.
The Bombers de la Generalitat deployed six teams to manage the situation. As a safety measure, neighbors were ordered to confine themselves to their homes until the fire was completely extinguished.

The fire required the complete ventilation of the building and verification that there was no structural damage before allowing residents to return to normal.

Three of the affected were transferred to the Hospital General de L’Hospitalet and the Hospital Moisès Broggi, while the other three were treated and discharged at the scene of the incident.
